Addiction Recovery Resources

Not only will you have the members of your community to draw from when you’re looking for support, but you will also have the opportunity to help those who need it most. At Diamond Recovery we take great pride in being able to provide our patients with the necessary addiction treatment and addiction recovery resources that will allow them to get the most out of their recovery journey.

Below are some of the addiction recovery resources that we share with our patients while they are traveling on their path towards recovery:

Group Therapy

Alcoholics Anonymous

Alcoholics Anonymous or AA, is a group for individuals who are affected by drinking and it offers them a safe space to share their experiences, strengths, and stories of hope with one another. Established in 1935, Alcoholics Anonymous was created to help people find a way out of the grips of alcoholism while providing them with addiction recovery resources to aid them on their journey towards recovery. Members of AA work together to support one another in sobriety, across the globe.

When participants gather at AA meetings, it allows them to gain insight into their issues, while also exploring the best ways to move forward in life free from alcohol abuse. Through a new understanding, members are able to find a path that works for them towards achieving lasting sobriety.

12 Steps

The 12 Steps are a set of guiding principles used in Alcoholics Anonymous that strive to support an individual through their journey of recovery. Each step involves some form of self-reflection that targets aspects like mental and emotional well-being, and spiritual growth.

The steps are respectfully suitable for multiple faith backgrounds and can be modified to fit into more modern recovery processes. When done correctly, individuals who follow the 12 Steps will be able to provide insight into how one’s behaviors, habits, and thought patterns affect their well-being. In many cases, these principles have the ability to open doors to greater mental clarity and self-love, which are valuable assets in anyone’s journey towards sobriety. At Diamond Recovery, we can lead you in the right direction and show the best way to adjust the program based on your specific needs and goals.

Al-Anon

Al-Anon is a special support program that is designed to specifically help those affected by the alcohol abuse or substance misuse of their loved ones. It is founded on a 12 Step program and provides guidance, understanding, friendship, addiction recovery resources, and hope to all who seek assistance along their paths towards healing.

Through meetings with other members in similar situations, Al-Anon offers invaluable peer support as well as opportunities to learn and share coping skills. Counseling services are often available, too– both in person and online – providing even more support and guidance for recovery. While no single solution is perfect for everyone, Al-Anon can offer a meaningful resource of comfort and improvement to anyone struggling with addiction issues in their lives.

Narcotics Anonymous

Narcotics Anonymous or NA, is a worldwide support group that is aimed at providing guidance to those recovering from substance use disorder and/or alcohol addiction. This program provides an invaluable resource for individuals on their path to recovery from addiction. It serves as a safe, accepting environment where participants can share their experiences and challenges, while providing them with emotional support and understanding.

During Narcotics Anonymous meetings, individuals will learn techniques that will teach them how to build inner strength on their journey towards greater freedom from addiction and life-altering dependencies. NA offers its members a sense of community and solidarity that is so critical in recovery and other times of difficulty. Narcotics Anonymous not only offers a source of communal camaraderie for its members, but it also serves as a resourceful forum with educational materials, inspiring speakers and practical guidance during recovery. It inspires a renewed sense of hope in people seeking relief from the struggles of addiction.

Support Groups

Support groups can be an invaluable resource for individuals on their journey to recovery. One of the easiest ways to find the best support group for your personal needs is through mental health and addiction treatment consultants, like Diamond Recovery. These meetings provide individuals an opportunity to connect with others who are exploring their own paths towards managing an addiction or substance use disorder, along with mental health challenges.

By creating a space of non-judgment and compassion, Support Groups provide a safe environment for individuals who are experiencing similar struggles. These groups encourage open communication while helping individuals identify helpful strategies to cope with their conditions. At meetings, talks are often led by trained individuals in the field of addiction who understand both theoretical and practical aspects of living with an addiction. Participating in support groups teaches individuals important strategies to increase their resilience and to ultimately thrive in life even when faced with difficult circumstances.
